FAQs

  1. Open the Zen Vue Dash Camera app.

  2. Select the model name, which you want to connect.

  3. Your phone will redirect you to its Wi-Fi settings.

  4. Select the Wi-Fi network named Pioneer_XXX_XXX. The “XXX” represents the dashcam model or device number.

  5. Enter the default password: 12345678.

  6. Return to the Zen Vue Dash Camera app to complete the connection.

  7. A warning message will appear reminding you to keep your eyes on the road while driving.

  8. The dashcam will ask whether you want to change the Wi-Fi password. Select “Yes” if you want to change it, or select “No” to continue with the default password.

  9. This is the interface displayed after the dashcam is successfully connected.

You can connect the dashcam using the Zen Vue Dash Camera app, available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
The Wi-Fi network name will include “Pioneer” followed by your dashcam model or device number. For example: Pioneer_XXX_XXX. The “XXX” represents the dashcam model or device number.
This is normal. The dashcam creates a Wi-Fi connection with your phone for communication, but it does not provide internet access. Therefore, your phone may display “No Internet Access”.
  1. Open the Zen Vue Dash Camera app.

  2. Select the model name, which you want to connect.

  3. Connect the dashcam to the app

  4. Open the “Gallery” section in the app. You will see two options: “Downloaded Videos” and “MicroSD Card”.

  5. The MicroSD Card section contains the recorded videos in 1-minute time-lapse segments.

Press the dashcam power button 5 times.

This will reset the dashcam and restore all settings to their default values.

Note: Resetting the dashcam does not erase recordings stored on the SD card.

This may happen if multiple dashcams have previously been connected to your phone. Go to your phone’s Wi-Fi settings, select the previously saved dashcam network, and choose “Forget Network”. Then try connecting the dashcam again.
A loose SD card slot is a hardware issue. Please visit your nearest Authorized Service Centre (ASC) for assistance.
This may happen if the SD card is unable to create the recording log properly, resulting in missing or incomplete recordings. We recommend using a Class 10 or higher SD card. If the issue continues, please try another compatible microSD card.

The dashcam supports microSD cards with a Class 10 or higher specification and supports storage capacity up to 128 GB.
Press the power button 3 times to format the SD card. Alternatively, connect the dashcam to the app and use the SD card format option available in the app.

If you see “Connect with app” or “Unable to record the video”, check the following setting. Make sure the “Time Lapse Video” option is turned on.
If recorded videos are not appearing in the app, remove the SD card and check it using a laptop or computer to see whether the videos are saved. If the videos are not available, try replacing the SD card with a compatible one, as the current SD card may not be saving the recordings properly.

To update the software, first connect the dashcam to the app.

In the app, tap the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner and select “Download Software Version”.

You may be asked to disconnect your smartphone from the dashcam so the app can check for the latest software version.

If a new software version is available, the app will ask you to download it to your mobile phone first.

After downloading, reconnect the dashcam to the app and install the software on the dashcam.

Note: Do not disconnect the app from the dashcam while the software installation is in progress.

To check the current software version of your dashcam:

Go to the “Settings” option.

The Settings menu contains the available options for configuring your dashcam.

Scroll down to the last option, “Device Information”.

In “Device Information”, you can view the current software version of your dashcam.

To enable Parking Mode, make sure your dashcam is connected to a compatible hardware kit. The recommended hardwire kit is RD-HWK300. After installing the hardwire kit:

Enable the “Parking Mode” option from the Live View section.

Parking Mode is turned off by default.

If the Parking Mode option is greyed out, the hardwire kit may not have been installed correctly. Please have the installation checked.

Note: The camera does not record continuously in Parking Mode. When the ignition is turned off, the dashcam enters standby mode and starts recording when an impact is detected.
